Here are a collection of photos from my recent trip down South to Careyes and to Hotelito Desconocido. By way of my beautiful and talented friend Anne Menke (fashion photographer) I have been fortunate enough to participate on on many of her local (Mexico) shoots. I am normally doing props and set design, but this time I was assisting the stylist and it was quite a fun diversion as I love getting mee hands on some fashion. Careyes Style is one of a kind and the natural beauty that surrounds is truly amazing!

Buying trip - San Cristobal de Las Casas
I haven't blogged in quite a while - mostly due to the fact that I have been really busy working. I recently went on a successful shopping extravaganza in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas. The first time I traveled there, we stayed in a really nice B&B right off of Santo Domigo Church - right by the main market. This trip, we stayed in the relatively new and hip hotel, Hotel Bo - Bo meaning "water" in the local language Tzotzil. I did get a little sick on both trips, but needless to say I definitely am making this my "go to" for finding amazing wool and embroidered textiles and other treasures. Chiapas is an interesting place because much like Guatemala, there is a very rich Mayan culture. Most indigenous people still speak there native language and there are many people who don't even speak very much Spanish at all.

Visual feasting on Formentera...again
Here are two more lovely homes on Formentera. They both look so cozy and confortable...I wish I was cooking up something yummy while enjoying a nice glass of Spanish wine!
